OSTUNI … is the best known among the Apulian tourist destinations. Also known under the name that represents it so much: THE WHITE CITY.
This name, which suits her so much, is now a tradition also for the inhabitants of the city who rigorously respect them, coloring the houses white with lime paint. Our ancestors privileged this paint for the natural anti-bacterial power given by the high alkalinity, thus preventing the formation of mold and bacteria and keeping away the famous mosquitoes thus avoiding the use of chemical treatments. It is antistatic, it does not attract dirt and dust, thus leaving a clean and healthy environment and it also has a high resistance to thermal shocks, making it a perfect thermal insulator. The White City boasts a wonderful medieval village full of stairways, squares and alleys full of artisan shops and typical restaurants and bars.
Being almost 220 m above sea level, it gives us a beautiful view of the Adriatic coast on which the blue flag flies.
